Poem: you don’t understand

You don’t understand

You say you love me

But you never say that to my brothers

You say ‘why don’t you love me?

I told you all these compliments, bought you so many gifts

I called you the best daughter, said that, done this?’

I shook my head with disbelief

‘I can’t believe I have to tell you this

But I’d rather be as unloved as my brothers

Than to be loved more,’

I say

Bu you don’t understand

You never do

– will you ever?

A poem that was stored on my phone and as I read it again, I had to post it. Here it is, I hope you like it.

Have a good day and remember that it is okay not to love someone you are ‘supposed’ to love. Be positive and spread love where you can, but it is okay to keep your love when it comes to giving it to someone you don’t want to give it to. It is okay.
